Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion is a science fiction real-time strategy video game developed by Ironclad Games and published by Stardock. It is the third expansion to the Sins of a Solar Empire series following the Entrenchment and Diplomacy and the first standalone expansion series, that means it does not requires the base game on its installation. The game was released in North America on February 4, 2008 for Microsoft Windows PC.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion adds new “loyalists” and “rebel” sub-factions in the game. These sub-groups gain exclusive access to new technologies and ship variants.
